Shreyas Talpade slams false death rumours: 'Jokes have their place, But misuse can be harmful'

Social media is a double-edged sword; as much as it is convenient, it is also misused. Recently, a misleading post claiming the death of actor Shreyas Talpade went viral on social media. This post spread like wildfire, due to which the actor's fans also became very upset. This post became so viral that the actor himself had to issue a statement regarding his health.

The actor shared a long post on his Instagram late on Monday night. In this post, while giving information about his health, he also reprimanded those who spread such rumours. He wrote, I am alive, happy and healthy. During this, he thanked all his well-wishers who contacted him after reading this misleading post.

The actor wrote, “I understand that fun has its place, but when it is misused, it can really cause a lot of harm. He also talked about the impact of this false news on his daughter.” Shreyas wrote, this false news deepens his fear, he is also facing questions from his peers and teachers regarding my health. We are trying to handle it as a family.

Shreyas wrote in his post- 'I want to assure everyone that I am alive, happy and healthy. I saw a post claiming I was dead. I know joking has its place, but when misused it can be harmful. Someone may have started it as a joke but it has put my family in unnecessary trouble. This is playing with their emotions.

Shreyas further wrote- 'My younger daughter who goes to school every day is so worried about my health. She keeps asking me if I am okay. These false news make him more sad and force him to ask more questions. Those who are spreading this kind of content should stop it. Think about what effect it will have on the other person. Some people actually pray for my health and this kind of joke is heartbreaking.

Let us tell you that during the shooting of Welcome to the Jungle, the actor suffered a heart attack, after which he was admitted to the hospital.
