Vicky Kaushal calls India's heroes "Real Superheroes" at Chhaava Trailer Launch, made a strong statement by comparing historical figures to superheroes in West

Powerhouse performer from the House of Bollywood, Vicky Kaushal is set to set the silver screen ablaze with his epic action-drama, Chhaava. In a recent trailer launch event for the same, the actor, playing the stalwart Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Sambhaji, made a very strong statement by comparing historical figures of India to that of the superheroes in the West.

Vicky said with fervour during the media interaction that in Sambhaji's legacy, there was his father, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He said, “When delving into India's history, one can find numerous superheroes such as Sambhaji and Chhatrapati Shivaji. These individuals surpass all fictional superheroes. It's crucial to share their tales and honour their legacy. The West lacks such superheroes, so they have to make Avengers. We have real superheroes in India."

The teaser for Chhaava dropped on August 19. It created a buzz among fans. Vicky's comparison of Chhatrapati Shivaji to Avengers struck a chord with many. A fan took to Instagram to say, “Best statement ever!” while another gushed, “Vicky, your acting skills are on fire! No one can beat you.” A user added, "Now, Vicky will be our superhero," expressing enthusiasm at the historical figure's portrayal by the actor.

Directed by Laxman Utekar Chhaava boasts an ensemble cast. Rashmika Mandanna plays Yesubai Bhonsalem, Akshaye Khanna portrays Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, Ashutosh Rana acts as Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite and Divya Dutta is Soyarabai. The film also features Neil Bhoopalam and Santosh Juvekar in significant roles.
