Shahid Kapoor is set to reunite with acclaimed director Vishal Bhardwaj for high-octane action thriller produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The actor-director duo is well known for their iconic collaborations on Kaminey (2009) and Haider (2014). They are coming together once again. This time, it is for an action-packed film. The film promises to showcase Shahid Kapoor in a new light.

According to industry sources this marks Vishal Bhardwaj's first venture into action genre. The film is described as mission-based action thriller. Nadiadwala is reportedly planning to mount it on grand scale. "It’s a spectacle-driven film with six massive action set pieces, and the team believes Shahid Kapoor is the perfect fit for the lead role," disclosed a source with knowledge of the initiative.

Shahid Kapoor who shares deep professional bond with Bhardwaj, was reportedly impressed by script's intense action sequences. The source added, "Shahid has utmost respect for Vishal and Sajid. He was on board immediately after the narration and is excited to begin filming."

While film is yet to receive a title pre-production work has already begun. Filmmakers are also in talks to cast A-list actress as female lead. The untitled project is set to release in 2025. The trio of Shahid, Vishal and Sajid are keen to bring this fresh action-driven narrative to today's viewers.

The film will likely begin its shoot from September or October this year, and filming is planned in both India and the US.
