After massive success of Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma has teased fans with possibility of a third instalment in Gadar franchise. In a recent interview with Rajasthan Patrika, Anil revealed that work on Gadar 3 has already begun. He hinted that the film will be an "atom bomb of emotions." The director said, “The work on the story of Gadar 3 is underway. Earlier, I used to say I’d make Gadar 2 when I had an emotional bomb to share. Now, I say I’ll make Gadar 3 when I have an emotional atomic bomb to share.”

Following phenomenal box office success of Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol, fans have eagerly awaited news about next chapter. Anil confirmed that Gadar 3 will once again centre around Indo-Pak conflict. There will be even higher stakes than before, Sunny Deol will reprise his iconic role as Tara Singh. He continues the character’s legacy from previous films.

In chat with Pinkvilla Sharma provided more updates on his current project, Vanvaas. He described it as “modern-day emotional Gadar.” Set against backdrop of Banaras and Kumbh Mela Vanvaas is poised to deliver powerful family drama. It is reminiscent of Sharma's earlier hits like Shradhanjali, Bandhan Kuchchey Dhaagon Ka and Apne. He assured that film will release by the end of this year. This will allow him to shift his full focus to Gadar 3.

Anil Sharma also disclosed that his writing team led by Shaktimaan, has been diligently developing story for Gadar 3. The core concept has been finalized. It promises audiences a thrilling and emotionally charged continuation of the beloved franchise.
