Rishabh Shetty criticises bollywood's depiction of India after National Award win: 'It shows India in a bad light'

Rishabh Shetty, who received the Best Actor National Award for the film 'Kantara', said such a thing against the Hindi film industry that the people of the industry may definitely feel chilly after hearing it. Rishabh not only raised questions about Bollywood films but also made statements on the way India's image is shown on the big screen. Kannada actor and filmmaker Rishabh Shetty's film 'Kantara' got a lot of love from the people. This film performed well at the box office and was a surprise for many people. Rishabh also received the Best Actor National Award for this film. These days Rishabh is heavily promoting his upcoming film 'Laughing Buddha'. Recently he gave an interview to 'Metro Saga'. During this interview, he said something about Hindi films which may seem bad to many people.

Rishabh Shetty has given his reaction to the negative image of India presented in Hindi and Bollywood films. The actor said- 'Indian films, especially Bollywood, show India in a bad light. Global events are held for these films and people reach the red carpet. My country, my state, my language – my pride. Why not present it globally in a positive way, and that's what I try to do.

After the hit of Kantara, Rishabh Shetty is now going to bring its second part i.e. 'Kantara 2'. If media reports are to be believed, this film may hit theatres in the year 2025. According to the report of Pinkvilla, the fourth shooting schedule of the film will start at the end of August. In this film, Rishabh will once again be in the lead role and will take charge of the direction of the film, rather Ajnesh Loknath will give its music.
