Siddharth Anand has created his style of filmmaking with action thrillers Pathaan, War, Fighter, and Bang Bang. Following a successful directorial career he turned producer launching his production house Marflix along with his wife Mamta Anand. The filmmaker is now extending his production venture confirming an exciting slate of upcoming movies. He has now also joined hands with Akshay Kumar for an action film to be directed by Milan Luthria. 

According to Pinkvilla, Siddharth Anand has now collaborated with the OG action star Khiladi Kumar for his next project. As per source, both have been in talks for a potential action-packed entertainer for a while now and finally, things have fallen rightly into place. The film directed by Milan Luthria is said to be set against the backdrop of a vigilante story.

A source close to the development said, “Siddharth has got together the director-writer duo of Milan Luthria and Rajat Arora to develop an action film set against the zone of a vigilante film. When the script was locked, the trio unanimously felt that Akshay Kumar is the best fit for the film and on hearing the script, Akshay also felt that this is the right film for him to associate with at this point of time.”

“Akshay loves the action space and is always up for challenges.  The Milan Luthria directorial will see him in a never seen before avatar, that does justice to the legacy created by him in action. Sid and Mamta are excited for this new collaboration with the Khiladi,” the source further added.

Meanwhile, Siddharth Anand’s production house Marflix has multiple projects in the pipeline. Apart from Akshay Kumar’s action films, it has Sujoy Ghosh's King starring Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan. Another in the kitty is Robbie Grewal's Jewel Thief – The Red Sun Chapter starring Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. Anand also has an international film based on the life of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar who recently featured in Khel Khel Mein has Jolly LLB 3, Welcome To The Jungle, and Housefull 5 in the pipeline.
