Well known Bollywood casting director Mukesh Chhabra recently revealed the unwavering support he received from actor Akshay Kumar during a difficult period in his life. In an honest conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia Chhabra recounted how Akshay went above and beyond to help with his mother’s medical care even though they weren't particularly close friends.

Chhabra shared that his mother, Kamal Chhabra, received a diagnosis of a heart issue two years back. Following the suggestion of filmmaker Anand L Rai, Chhabra decided to consult a particular doctor at a prestigious hospital. Aware of Akshays ties with the physician he contacted the actor who promptly replied.

“So, I sent Akshay Kumar a message, and he called right away,” Chhabra recollected. “He arranged everything at the hospital and called me every day for 15 days to ask about my mother’s condition. He even stayed in constant contact with the doctor, despite his busy schedule. Akshay doesn’t talk about these things, and I’ve never mentioned it publicly before either.”

Chhabra expressed his heartfelt gratitude for Akshay's stanch assistance sharing how the actor would consistently inquire, “Mummy da ki haal hai?” and even visited his mother. Unfortunately, she passed away in 2023 but he mentioned that Akshay’s thoughtfulness during that challenging period had a profound impact on him.

Talking about work, Akshay Kumar was last seen in a cameo role for the film Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. When Khel Khel Mein hit the theatres, it conflicted with Stree 2 and Vedaa.
