Stree 2 is currently enjoying a bumper run at the box office creating history with its record-breaking collection. The sequel to 2018 horror comedy Stree received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike as a result the film went housefull at several theaters nationwide. The audience enjoyed every part of the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer hailing the Maddock Films visual extravaganza offered in Stree 2. Amar Kaushik’s cinematic experience did win millions hearts but what excited fans more is Varun Dhawan’s cameo as Bhediya. Well, for the unversed the actor played the brief role for free. 

Varun Dhawan is also a part of Maddock Films' supernatural horror universe in the film titled Bhediya. Headlining the movie the actor essayed a werewolf garnering love and appreciation. The actor elongated his character as Bhediya in Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2 offering a perfect crossover of supernatural universe. However, VD played a cameo in the second part of Stree free of charge. He reportedly charged no remuneration to feature in Dinesh Vijan’s fifth horror film.

For the unversed, After the success of 2022 Varun and Kriti’s film Bhediya 2 is in the making. Varun Dhawan claims Bhediya is a film which is very close to his heart. With the massive response, Varun’s cameo in Stree 2 received the makers have decided to bring Bhediya 2 soon and the film is expected to go on floors by the end of 2025. After the cinematic crossover of Bhediya and Stree audience is excited for part 2 of Bhediya. 

Meanwhile, Stree 2 has made an impressive business of Rs 401 crore at the global box office. It collected Rs 342 crore as gross box office collection in India and Rs 289.6 crore as nett collection. The film directed by Amar Kaushik under Maddock Film released on August 15 is running successfully in theaters.
