Maddock Films fifth installment of supernatural horror universe Stree 2 has witnessed enormous success at the box office. The makers have plans to add more movies to the cinematic universe with an aim to offer a gigantic crossover that audiences could never expect. Following the success of Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya, the makers are introducing a new mystical character to the universe. Dinesh Vijan has a vision to extend his film galaxy with another installment titled Vampires of Vijay Nagar. The titular role will be headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana reportedly as a vampire.
As the makers promise a crossover we can experience a crossover of brothers Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurrana who play a vital role in the Stree series. Aparshakti’s role as Bittu in Stree is widely loved and enjoyed by the audience. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor was quizzed about his brother joining the horror comedy universe and how excited he is to collaborate with his elder brother. Although he didn’t share much about the project but said it would be a great fun when all the characters merge together.
Aparshakti said, “Right now, I won’t be able to speak on what all is happening with that film. All I know is that it’s a very quirky script. When in totality, all the worlds (of the horror-comedy universe) would merge together, and this world would merge too, it is going to be great fun. Me and Bhaiya were always up to collaborate. And touchwood, we are looking forward to it.”
He further mentioned Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife Tahira Kashyap’s reaction to Stree 2. He said, “They all have seen the film. Their reaction has been very good. They saw it on the night of the 14th itself.”
Stree 2 brought back the original cast of the first installment including, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee. The makers maintained the continuation intact with a new addition of Sarkata in the second part.
