The sequel to the horror comedy genre has garnered praise from audiences and reviewers alike achieving record breaking success in ticket sales. In a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Abhishek Banerjee who plays the beloved character Jana expressed his likenesses on the films remarkable reaction.
Banerjee drew a parallel between the enthusiastic reactions of fans to the whistles and cheers that accompanied Shah Rukh Khan's hit movies Pathaan and Jawan. He commented that being in a theatre during these moments feels like a blissful celebration. He shared his amazement at witnessing such an enthusiastic response up close. “I had only heard about the crowd hooting and whistling in cinemas, especially during Amitabh Bachchan’s movies. Last year, I saw it happen with Pathaan and Jawan. When that happens for your own film, you can’t imagine how special that feels.”
The movie has received positive feedback from other actors as well, with Sunny Deol recently commending the success of Stree 2. He took to social media to congratulate the team for delivering "heavy monsoons at the box office" and showing support for cinema exhibitors.
