Khel Khel Mein is playing by its own rules at the Box Office; Day 11 bigger than Day 2

Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein has garnered audience attention and love towards the film. The comedy-drama revolves around a group of friends indulging in a quirky game night that soon turns into a nightmare as secrets unfold. In what hasn’t been seen in a long time at the Box Office, Khel Khel Mein stands at being able to go past its day 2 figure on day 11. Yes, you heard it right. The comedy thriller with a twist is nowhere close to being done, much to the confusion of trade pundits.

It is the norm to not see past the opening weekend in the impatient and sporadic business of films, but every now and again, a film lands up writing a fresh chapter in Box Office unpredictabilities. Khel Khel Mein may just be that film! With its shows having been drastically reduced, and it being judged by the trade one week ago, the film went past its day 2 figure, on its day 11 in less than half the number of shows. That is quite something and if cinema audiences continue to shower love to this twisted comedy, then it may just unravel a box office journey as twisted as the game in its plot.

Khel Khel Mein stars an ensemble cast including, Akshay Kumar, Vani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. The film is helmed by Mudassar Aziz and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Shashikant Sinha, and Ajay Rai under the banners of T-Series Film, Wakaoo Films, and KKM Film production. Presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Wakaoo Films Khel Khel Mein is released in theaters nationwide on August 15, 2024.
