R Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut’s Tanu Weds Manu is the most loved film series in Bollywood. Following the success of the first two installments Tanu Weds Manu 3 is on the cards. Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns were showered with immense love and appreciation and these films are considered classics in Indian cinema. The director Anand L Rai who earlier hinted at extending the film series has now spilled the tea about his plans for the project.
Anand L Rai is contemplating creating a third part of the most celebrated film franchise. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Anand L Rai said, “I know there have been questions. Where Tanu Weds Manu Returns ended... does it deserve to get a sequel from there? It only depends on the story, nothing else. We are working on the story. It is a big responsibility to get the characters back with a bigger story. I am on it, and I will be on floors the day it’s cracked.”
He further claimed that he not after making money instead wants to deliver right content. Had he aimed to only mint cash Tanu Weds Manu would have been on floors soon. "If I only want to make money out of it, I can start the shoot in the next three months. If I want to tell a story to my audience for more satisfaction than what they have, then I have to work hard. Work is on in full swing. The pressure to live up to the benchmark the second part set is real,” the director added.
Meanwhile, the filmmaker Anand L Rai is enjoying the response to his latest release Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba. Next in the pipeline, he has Tere Ishk Mein starring Dhanush. This will be the actor-director duo's third collaboration after Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re.
