Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia have been dating officially for a year now. Earlier, they were rumoured to seeing each other until the duo put an end to speculation confirming their relationship. Vijay Varma who is gearing up for an upcoming project IC 814 opened up on his love life which he doesn’t intend to keep a secret. 

Speaking to Shubhankar Mishra, the actor opened up about making his relationship with Tamannaah Bhatia public. The actor said, “I think we were both aligned on the fact that if we like to spend time together and if we like each other, then there is no need to hide this. It takes a lot of effort to hide a relationship. You cannot go out together, your friends cannot click your photos. I don’t like such restrictions. It wasn’t like I wanted to be out there, but I just didn’t want to be caged. I didn’t want to cage my feelings.”

He further shared his thoughts on whether his relationship sometimes overshadows his work. Vijay added, “Today, in our society, everybody is interested in other people’s lives. Sabke andar ek bua baithi hai (there is a gossipy aunt in everyone) who only wants to discuss this (relationships). This has become a disease, and you can’t do anything about it. I can’t change that. As far as my work is concerned, I do receive appreciation for my work after they release. I cannot deny that.”

On the work front, Vijay Varma will be next seen in IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack portraying a courageous pilot. This will be his first project inspired from real-life incidents. The series delves into the harrowing events of the 1999 Indian Airlines IC 814 hijacking, a crisis that gripped the nation. ‘IC 814’ is scheduled to be released on Netflix on August 29.
