Farhan Akhtar is currently in Ladakh for the shoot of his next project. The filmmaker teased on social media about shooting a special project after Lakshya and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. He shared a breathtaking photo of the picturesque Magnetic Hill of Ladakh. His post was quick to spark excitement among fans who love Akhtar’s filmmaking style. The director has indulged the audience into traveling with his movies Dil Chahta Hai, and ZNMD and now people wonder if he is set for any such film yet again.

Sharing the picture on Instagram, Farhan Akhtar claimed he is in the hilly region for a special film. The caption read, “Back in Ladakh after Lakshya and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to shoot for a very special film. Details to be revealed soon. Watch this space.” While Fans wondered if the filmmaker is in Ladakh to shoot Don 3 or a sequel to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara or initiating Jee Le Zaraa shoot, ETimes has confirmed that Akhtar is gearing up for an acting role.

According to reports he is there for a film based on the 1962 Battle of Rezang La. Farhan who is a multitalented being actor, director, producer, and singer has joined hands with Razneesh Ghai, who helmed Dhaakad. Farhan Akhtar is returning to acting after his last film Toofan with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The movie is likely to be based on the battle of Rezang La which was fought during the Indo-China War of 1962. Farhan Akhtar will allegedly play the role of Major Shaitan Singh who led the battle of 120 Indian soldiers of Charlie Company 13 Kumaon.

Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar has multiple projects in the pipeline as a producer. The next film set for release is action thriller Yudhra releasing on September 20. He also has Don 3 starring Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani in the kitty. Akhtar will don the director’s hat for Jee Le Zaraa which has an exciting cast including Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, and Alia Bhatt.
