Hrithik Roshan faces social media backlash for endorsing paan masala brand

Hrithik Roshan has sparked controversy on social media for featuring in a new paan masala ad. After Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff, the Fighter actor has joined the list of celebs endorsing paan masala brands. In the new ad video surfing on the internet, the actor is recording promoting a cardamom product launched by a paan masala brand Siggnature. The actor is being heavily trolled as Gutka Roshan by netizens on social media.

Ever since, the video went viral Hrithik Roshan faced backlash for promoting such brands. People have even questioned his need to take up such ads. With the advertisement, people are disappointed with the actor and called it out on social media. "Hrithik has such a suave image and he ruins it in my eyes by doing this ad," while another wrote, "Hrithik can't be this hard up in life to start promoting this crap product! Shame on these rich guys getting richer."

One user pointed out high remunerations actors receive to promote and advertise such brands. "Anyone knows how much they are paid for such endorsements? Should be in double digit crores right?" someone questioned. Emphasizing the glorification of the cardamom ad using private jets and flights a user joked, “Dhoom 4 draft that didn’t get approved.”

On the work front, Hrithik Roshan was last seen in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter. Next in the pipeline he has War 2 where he will reprise his character Kabir Khan from War. The sequel also stars Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. He is also set to join Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in Alpha - a female spy thriller addition in Yash Raj Films spy universe.
