Naga Chaitanya took the internet by storm announcing his engagement with Shobita Dhulipala. Both got engaged in a private ceremony on August 8, 2024, in the presence of close friends and family. Following the ring ceremony there have been speculations about their wedding as no reports of the big event is out yet. Recently a video of Naga dressed as a groom surfaced on social media sparking whispers that he got married already. Fans were left confused if he secretly tied the knot. However, all that buzz was for the launch of a wedding collection of a brand. 

The Telugu actor recently attended the launch of a wedding collection for a clothing brand, where he answered questions about his wedding. He was asked if this was a rehearsal for his wedding, responding to the whirr of his viral video linked to his wedding Naga said to consider it as a countdown. He said, “Perhaps you could think so, that it’s a countdown kinda for my marriage.” 

Although Naga Chaitanya remained tight-lipped about wedding date and venue he revealed what kind of wedding he wished for. Like every other celeb, he also desires to go for a simple traditional wedding over a big fat Indian wedding. He said, “Marriage is about the people who mean a lot to me. It doesn’t have to be a big fat wedding but people keeping up with the cultures and traditions in mind, so that’s how I want it (marriage) to be.”

According to reports, the couple is expected to get married in Rajasthan in 2025. Naga Chaitanya and Shobita Dhulipala were rumored to be dating each other but both never made it official until they got engaged. Actor Nagarjuna also confirmed the couple’s union on social media. He congratulated the couple and welcomed Shobita to the Akkineni family.
