Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh are set to reunite for the eagerly awaited sequel ‘De De Pyaar De 2’. The first installment was a commercial success also starring Tabu and Jimmy Sheirgill in key roles. The film set the stage for an exciting sequel and it is interesting to see the story moving ahead with comedic situations in Rakul's character’s family. The story will continue from where it ended. A major update around the potential sequel of De De Pyaar De is that the movie will be primarily shot in the rustic locations of Punjab offering the desi essence of a typical Indian family. 

Rakul Preet Singh and Ajay Devgn will reprise their role as Ayesha and Ashish showcasing a fun and engaging chemistry between a young girl and a middle-aged man. Ajay will reunite with Rakul for this highly anticipated project after wrapping up the shoot of Son of Sardaar 2 which is currently being filmed in Edinburgh, Scotland. In the first chapter, their pairing was a standout and the romance comedy-drama was a delightful watch that resonated with the audience. 

As per recent reports, a source close to the production team for ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ has said, “As of now, the production is busy preparing for a 45-50 day schedule in some beautiful and rustic locations in Punjab. While Madhavan, Rakul and the other cast and crew members leave next month for Punjab, Ajay Devgn will be joining after his Son of Sardar 2 schedule which is being filmed in the United Kingdom."

The sequel introduces R. Madhavan as Rakul’s father, promising an engaging battle of wits between him and Ajay’s character, Ashish. Fans of the movie can look forward to more interesting content in the sequel with fun banter between Ajay and Maddy who last featured together in Shaitaan. De De Pyaar De 2 is expected to make it to theaters in 2025 summer.
