Adnan Sami responds to criticism of his Indian citizenship with strong social media retort

Adnan Sami, who has given many songs to Bollywood like 'Lift Kara De', 'Bhar Do Jholi Meri', 'Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein', remains in the news a lot about his personal life apart from his professional life. Recently, Adnan Sami on his X( twitter) account shared a screenshot of a netizen's comment on his Instagram post on Independence Day. By sharing the post, Adnan has also taken a dig at the user's comment.

Singer Adnan Sami has responded to a social media user. The user had said that he had taken the right decision of taking Indian citizenship. Let us tell you that the singer had acquired Indian citizenship in 2016. At the time, he revealed that people in Pakistan had questioned his intentions. Ever since he came to India, he has always expressed his love for the country.

He wrote in the post, "Happy Independence Day to all...Jai Hind." In this post the singer had posted a picture with the tricolour. Responding to the post, a Pakistani user wrote, "Sahi time pe nikal gaye ustad (from Pakistan), hamare lag gaye hain yahan par."

The singer shared the screenshot on X and wrote, "Next time don't question my sanity." Soon after he shared this post, Indians said that they are lucky to be in the country. One user commented, "Never friend... You survived the bad day and are happy in India." Another user wrote, "We Indians are lucky to have you among us."

In one of his earlier interviews, the singer had said that it took him 18 years to get Indian citizenship. When Adnan renounced his original citizenship, he remained stateless for one and a half years and was rejected twice for Indian citizenship.
