Salman Khan advocates for an eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi: “I won't throw garbage and won't let others throw garbage"

Mumbai’s highly celebrated festival Ganesh Chaturthi is right around the corner. This festival brings enthusiasm and feels lively also comes with a drawback of environmental pollution with people dumping Ganesh idols into the water. As Ganesh Chaturthi approaches, Salman Khan advocates for an eco-friendly festival. He has shared a message about the environmental responsibility that comes along with the celebration. 

Bhaijaan who attended an event in Mumbai requested people to go eco-friendly and highlighted his personal commitment to maintaining purity in Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. He said, "Eco-friendly Ganesha has been coming to our house for a very long time. Until there is purity in the festival, you can't celebrate [it]."

He further underlined the aftermath of the festival voicing his concern. He pointed out how people carelessly disrespect the idol after praising it for 10 days. He said, “After the visarjan, some idols' heads, trunks, and legs are scattered everywhere, and some people step on [them]. "I won't throw garbage and won't let others throw garbage."

Salman Khan’s idea of eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi is evident in his message as he relates to the need for collective effort that would bring a change. His thoughts ensure that the festival should be celebrated in a manner that honors both the spirit of the occasion and the environment. 

On the work front, Salman Khan will be next seen in the highly anticipated film Sikandar. The film stars Rashmika Mandanna alongside Tiger actor marking their first collaboration. This new duo sparks excitement among the fans of both actors and would bring people nationwide to theaters. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment the movie is expected to release in 2025.
