Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recently turned politician after electing as BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. During the course of her political career start she reunited with her Miley Na Miley Hum co-star Chirag Paswan who also became MP. Back in June this year, both shared a candid moment that went viral on the internet. Now, Kangana Ranaut who is on a promotional spree of her upcoming political thriller Emergency spoke about the meeting and called Chirag a good friend.
Speaking to Aaj Tak, the actress said, "Leave Parliament out of it. It is the temple of our Constitution. I represent my constituency there. Chirag ko main bohat pehle sey jaanti hun, wo mera accha dost hai, bechare ney ek do baar hansa diye mujhe lekin aap log to peeche hi pad gaye, ab wo bhi rasta badalkar chala jaata hai. (Chirag and I have known each other for a long time. He is a very good friend of mine. Now even Chirag changes his path when he sees me.”
Earlier, during an interview with ANI, Chirag also spoke about their friendship. He said, "Only good thing that happened to me after trying my luck in acting is that Kangana and I became really good friends. That's one good thing we carried from that time. And I was really looking forward to meet Kangana in the parliament because the past three years, I was so busy in my own life that I had lost my connection with her.”
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for the release of Emergency which is a political thriller revolving around the dark phase of Indian political history. It highlights on the Emergency period of 1975-1977 imposed by Indira Gandhi. The actor portrays the lead role of the former Prime Minister and has also directed the movie. She even bankrolled the film, under her production house Manikarnika Films, slated to release on September 6.
