Recently, at the Young Leaders Awards organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in New Delhi, artists, entrepreneurs and social leaders came together to grace the occasion. Bollywood superstar Ayushmann Khurrana and Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra were honoured with the FICCI Young Leaders Youth Icon. The award was presented by Shashwat Goenka, President of FICCI Young Leaders Forum and Vice President of RP – Sanjiv Goenka Group, and Aishwarya Bansal, President of FICCI Young Leaders Delhi NCR Chapter. FICCI recognizes and honours young leaders who have achieved excellence in their respective fields and demonstrated commitment towards bringing positive change in the society.
Ayushmann Khurrana has the image of an ideal actor and he was selected for this award this year. Ayushmann is the only Bollywood actor to receive this honour this year. Both Ayushmann and Neeraj are a source of inspiration for lakhs of youth and proved that with hard work and determination one can achieve any goal. Both Ayushmann and Neeraj are unique in their respective fields and keep the name of the country proud.
After getting this award from FICCI Ayushmann Khurrana said, “It is a great honour for me to be the Youth Icon of India. I think about how my films are bringing a positive change in the thinking of society and fulfilling my intention of improving society.” Ayushmann further added, “Through my films, brands, and music I want to make people happy, fill their hearts with joy, bring them together, and show how much our country and our young generation Is alive.”
Ayushmann was last seen in Raaj Shaandilyaa’s comedy-drama Dream Girl 2, which also starred Ananya Panday. It was released in theatres on August 25, 2023. The film also featured Manjot Singh, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Seema Pahwa and Vijay Raaz.
