The first character poster for veteran actor Sathyaraj from the eagerly expected movie Coolie, which features superstar Rajinikanth in the title role, has been formally launched by director Lokesh Kanagaraj. In this poster Sathyaraj portrays Rajasekhar sporting a shirt and glasses wearing an expression as he inspects the open end of a wire. The captivating image suggests an element of intrigue and depth to his character in the film.

Kanagaraj took to X, previously known as Twitter, to share the poster and convey his enthusiasm: "Kicked to have #Sathyaraj sir joining the cast of #Coolie as #Rajasekar. Welcome on-board sir (sic)."

Earlier this week, the director unveiled posters featuring characters portrayed by Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan and Soubin Shahir, who are all part of the star-studded ensemble. Nagarjuna takes on the role of Simon while Shruti plays a character named Preethi. Moreover, Kannada actor Upendra and Mahendran will also appear in significant roles.

Coolie is being produced by Sun Pictures with a grand vision and is anticipated to be among the largest pan India releases of 2025. There are whispers suggesting that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan might make a cameo in the movie marking his reunion with Rajinikanth after three decades since their previous collaboration in Aatank Hi Aatank. Nevertheless, no official announcement has been made regarding Aamir's participation so far.

Coolie, which has music by Anirudh Ravichander, will be released in the second part of 2019. Fans are anxiously awaiting further information on the film's development and formal release date since filming commenced in July.
