The excitement around Son of Sardaar 2 is mounting with each update and the latest news to add to the anticipation is Sanjay Dutt joining the cast. Earlier the actor who was supposed to reprise his role from the original 2012 movie Son of Sardaar raised concerns over his involvement after being dropped from the UK schedule. However, he is now set to join Ajay Devgn for the Punjab shoot. Ajay Devgn is currently shooting for the movie in Edinburgh with Mrunal Thakur. 

According to the latest update, Dainik Bhaskar has claimed that Sanjay Dutt will join Son of Sardaar reuniting with Ajay Devgn for the film’s Punjab schedule. This comes as a treat to fans of the original Son of Sardaar after Sanjay Dutt stepped down from the project due to UK visa rejection. Latest reports around the development also reveal that the sequel will not be linked to its predecessor. The sequel will offer a new plot with fresh characters taking a different approach in extending the franchise. However, the film promises to bring up excitement matching the level of the first part. 

Reports are rife that Sanjay Dutt will have character on the lines of Vasooli Bhai from Golmaal. The movie will feature a gang war between Bihari and Punjabi dons. Additionally, Ravi Kishan’s original role which was supposed to be played by Vijay Raaz is now assigned to Sanjay Mishra. Sanjay Dutt will reportedly play the role of Don joining the team for the Punjab shoot slated to start in October 2024. Fans can expect dynamic action sequences set against the vibrant backdrop of Punjab, promising a visual and emotional treat.
