Honey Singh recalls waiting 12 hours for Lungi Dance shoot from Chennai Express featuring Shah Rukh Khan

Honey Singh is the popular Indian rapper and singer known for his famous tracks Blue Eyes, Brown Rang, Desi Kalakaar and more. He has also delivered songs to Bollywood movies and some well-known numbers are Angreji Beat and Lungi Dance among others. The long lost singer who stayed away the making music has returned with a new album Glory. Yo Yo Honey Singh , who has dropped Millionaire from his latest album, recently revealed that he was kept waiting for 12 hours with makeup on during the shoot of Lungi Dance from the movie Chennai Express starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

In a recent interview, Honey Singh shared a craziest moment from the sets of Chennai Express, while shooting Lungi Dance. He said, “The only funny moment from the Lungi dance set is that they called me and made me sit for up to 12 hours with makeup. It was their plan to make me wait. They were like, ‘This guy is so excited to be part of this shoot, let us make him wait.’ I was sitting for 12 hours, and whoever visited the set, they came to me and greeted me and spoke to me kindly including Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone who was accompanied by Ranveer Singh.”

The rapper further added, “I couldn’t understand what was going on because everybody’s behaviour was quite nice, but they were not taking my shot. You won’t believe, they took my shot at the end and after that they said, ‘Pack up.’ So that was the craziest and funniest thing. They were testing my patience.”

He even criticized his song Lungi Dance in another interview. He was quoted saying,  “Don’t know what I was doing, and people were putting me on a pedestal. Today when I look back, and I have to perform these songs, I laugh at myself. They are still dancing to these songs. I still get revenue from these songs because they are still played.”
