Punjabi artist AP Dhillon has assured his fans that he is safe following reports of gunshots near his home in Vancouver Canada. The incident allegedly linked to imprisoned gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara has raised worries among the singer's supporters.
Dhillon took to Instagram to share a message with his followers stating, "I'm safe. My people are safe. Thank you to everyone who reached out. Your support means everything. Peace and love to all." In addition to sharing the news the artist uploaded a clip of himself grooving to his track Sweet Flower while urging everyone to "keep spreading love." Supporters swiftly reacted expressing their relief through remarks like "Happy to hear you're okay" and "Look after yourself."
As per a news article from India Today the shooting is being connected to Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara who allegedly claimed responsibility for the incident. It reportedly took place near Dhillon's residence on Victoria Island, British Columbia. An unverified clip making rounds on the internet depicts an individual shooting several rounds outside a house during the hours although the exact location has not been confirmed.
According to reports the shooting incident could be linked to AP Dhillon's recent partnership with Bollywood star Salman Khan for the music video of their track Old Money. Godara, who asserts ties to Bishnoi reportedly threatened the singer's life after the video release.
This comes after earlier threats and an attack targeting Salman Khan, who named Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi in connection with a shooting incident outside his home. Khan had previously reported receiving several threats from the gang over the years, adding to the tense situation surrounding the two stars.
AP Dhillon who gained fame with songs like Brown Munde, Excuses and Dil Nu has been residing in Canada for quite some time now. Despite concerning news reports the artist maintains an optimistic outlook and urges his supporters to prioritize spreading love.
