South superstar Jr NTR has donated Rs 50 lakh each to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to aid flood relief efforts. The recent floods have caused widespread devastation, displacing thousands of people and destroying homes in both the states. Apart from Jr NTR, the makers of 'Kalki 2898 AD' have also donated Rs 25 lakh to the relief fund.

Jr NTR informed his fans about this donation on X and expressed his concern for the people affected by the floods. The Telugu actor shared the post on his X account. He wrote, 'I am deeply saddened by the recent floods in two Telugu states due to heavy rains.' I pray to God that the Telugu people recover from this disaster soon.

Junior NTR further wrote in his post, 'On my part, I am announcing a donation of Rs 50 lakh each to the Chief Minister Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governments, so that the governments of both the Telugu states can provide relief from the flood disaster. The steps taken by the Government can help.” People are appreciating this step of the actor on social media.

Vyjayanthi Movies also shared a statement on Twitter announcing their contribution and informed that Rs 25 lakh has been donated on their behalf to the relief fund. Meanwhile, incessant rains have wreaked havoc in various parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with at least 19 people dead and more than 17,000 evacuated due to floods. About 140 trains have been cancelled and many have been diverted.

The low pressure area has caused heavy rains and flooding, leading to road closures, loss of connectivity to many areas and thousands of people stranded. Meanwhile, if we talk about Jr NTR's upcoming film, he will be seen in 'Devra'. Janhvi Kapoor will also be seen in the lead role in the film. This film will be released on 27 September 2024.
