Farhan Akhtar returns to acting with war drama '120 Bahadur' - A tribute to heroes of Rezang La battle

There has been much chatter around Farhan Akhtar’s next project, which he announced a few days ago on social media. He piqued the excitement by sharing a picturesque shot of Ladkah claiming to be working on a special movie. While others predicted it to be his next highly anticipated movie, it is the filmmaker’s return to acting. Farhan, a multitalented star, has now officially announced his next acting film titled 120 Bahadur. 

Farhan Akhtar who owns many feathers to his cap being a director, producer, singer, and actor celebrates the spirit of heroic bravery with 120 Bahadur. The movie is based on the story of Maj Shaitan Singh PVC and the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment. This military action film, set against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China war, draws inspiration from the Battle of Rezang La, where our men in uniform displayed unparalleled courage, heroism, and sacrifice.

Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, in collaboration with Amit Chandrra’s Trigger Happy Studios, is honored to present "120 Bahadur". Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios dropped two intriguing motion posters, introducing Farhan Akhtar as Maj Shaitan Singh PVC. The first shoot schedule of the film begins today in Ladakh.

Sharing the motion poster on his Instagram handle, Farhan Akhtar wrote, “What they accomplished will never be forgotten. It is an absolute privilege to bring you the story of Maj Shaitan Singh PVC and the soldiers of Charlie company, 13 Kumaon regiment.” The actress further expressed his gratitude towards the Indian Army. “We are grateful to the Indian Army for their support in bringing this incredible tale of valour to the screen. We embark today to make this film in all humility and with utmost respect to those we represent,” he concluded.

120 Bahadur will be directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced under the banners of Farhan Akhtar’s production house Excel Entertainment. The film marks the return of Farhan Akhtar to acting after the 2021 film Toofan.
