Amar Kaushik, the mastermind behind the successful horror comedy Stree is all set to bring the next installment of the franchise to life and he has some thrilling news to share with fans. In a chat with India Today, Amar revealed that the script for Bhediya 2 is almost finished and that work is already in progress for a fresh vampire movie starring Ayushmann Khurrana.

Talking about Bhediya 2, Amar shared, "The script is not locked yet, but we have written the story. Now we need to develop the screenplay. I’m not fully satisfied with a few parts, so we're still working on them."

He shared some information about his upcoming venture a vampire film titled Thamba, which will begin shooting in the next two months and he will be producing the film.

Previous news from Pinkvilla suggested that Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna were set to star in a horror comedy film helmed by the director of Munjya, Aditya Sarpotdar. According to the report, “Ayushmann and Dinesh Vijan share a great creative bond, and have been discussing Vampires of Vijay Nagar for a while. Both actors have unique arcs in the film, which will surprise audiences.”

Amar shared his enthusiasm about the mix of horror and comedy in this universe, saying that fans can expect something special. On the other hand, in Bhediya 2 Varun Dhawan will be back in his role while Kriti Sanon’s return is still uncertain.

On the other hand, Stree 2 maintains its stronghold at the box office amassing more than Rs 500 crore worldwide. The movie features prominent performances by Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurrana.
