In case you didn’t know Remo experienced a heart attack in 2020 due to a complete blockage in one of his arteries. He had to have an angiography done at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. Even though he was passionate about fitness the filmmaker was taken by surprise by this health issue.

Recalling the day of the event Remo shared that he was getting ready to be on Bigg Boss later that night when he started feeling unwell while at the gym. He cut his workout short but even basic stretches became uncomfortable for him and he eventually felt nauseous. His wife Lizelle swiftly took him to the hospital where the doctors confirmed the seriousness of the situation.

"The doctor told me I had a 100 percent blockage, and it was a major heart attack," Remo revealed. Lizelle, overwhelmed by her feelings, couldn't hold it together anymore. Meanwhile, Remo found it hard to believe and let out a chuckle. He expressed his surprise at hearing about the heart attack especially since he prided himself on being fit. The doctors informed him that his good health was what allowed him to walk into the hospital.

Reflecting on the frightening experience, Remo said, “It was scary. May the lord not show even my enemy what I felt.”
