In a recent interview Bobby Deol shared his experiences of growing up with his father, the iconic actor Dharmendra. He opened up about the emotional gap he felt during his childhood due to Dharmendra’s commitments to his film career. Bobby acknowledged that their relationship was influenced by a combination of respect and fear as their interactions were somewhat restricted.
Looking back on his childhood Bobby shared, "That was normal at that time. My dad came from a small town where the culture and way of thinking were different. His father was strict with him, and that discipline naturally passed down. My dad wasn’t strict with me, but he was never a friend either. He was always busy with work. I’d only see him for a few hours late at night or early in the morning."
Bobby mentioned that as they have gone through changes in their lives the relationship between him and his dad has shifted especially with his parents getting older. “It wasn’t fear, it was respect, but back then, we didn’t know how to communicate with our parents easily. Now the roles are reversed. They’ve become older and more vulnerable, and I have to look after them. That’s the circle of life,” he reflected.
In terms of his career Bobby Deol made an appearance in Sandeep Reddy Vangas movie Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. He is also gearing up to take on the role in the upcoming YRF Spy Universe film Alpha, alongside Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, under the direction of Shiv Rawail. Moreover, Bobby will be seen in the highly awaited Kanguva, where he stars with Suriya, Disha Patani and Jagapathi Babu. Directed by Siruthai Siva this film is expected to be a grand cinematic event.
