On Monday in Mumbai the highly awaited trailer for Devara: Part 1 directed by Koratala Siva and featuring Jr NTR Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan was revealed at a lavish launch event. Set to be released in theatres on September 27 the movie promises to deliver an enthralling story filled with themes of power, fear and vengeance.
The 2 minute and 39 second trailer directed by Koratala Siva sets the stage for a tale where the sea is said to turn red. Saif Ali Khan's character Bhaira rules over a realm devoid of fear – that is until Jr NTRs dual roles as Devara and Varadha make their entrance. The trailer hints at a confrontation between Saif’s character with his motives and Jr NTR's character who embodies the force that reintroduces fear to their land. Janhvi Kapoor portrays Thangam a village beauty who falls in love with Jr NTR's character adding an element of romance, to the gripping storyline.
At the event, RRR co-stars Jr NTR and Alia Bhatt had a mini reunion with filmmaker Karan Johar. Their meeting was captured in photos that spread like wildfire on social media with fan pages sharing snapshots of the trio together. In Devara: Part 1 Jr NTR is set to showcase his acting prowess by taking on two characters, Devara and Varadha.
