Legal dispute clouds 'Border 2' as Bharat Shah claims breach of agreement with JP Dutta

JP Dutta's 'Border 2' was announced a few days ago. The trailer of this film was also released in the voice of Sunny Deol. Now the news came that Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Dhawan will enter this film. Now it seems that this film may have to face some problems. Film producer Bharat Shah has issued a public notice. Let us tell you what the whole matter is…

Actually, a public notice has been issued against JP Dutta in Complete Cinema Magazine regarding Border 2. It has been said in this notice that he has the full rights of the film Border. An agreement was made between the two parties on 21 November 1994, but due to disagreement between the two, it was decided that the profit from Border would be shared equally. Also, Bharat Shah will be constantly informed about the financial condition of the film.

It is written in this notice that JP Dutta has not accepted the terms of the deal. Later, neither the finance department was informed about the financial details of the film nor was the profit paid to him. Bharat Shah then complained to the Indian Film and TV Producers Council. In 2014, he also approached the Bombay High Court. The case has now been transferred to the civil court and is pending.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama in 2021, Bharat Shah said that I was not given any update regarding this film. I got my share when the rights of the film were sold to Sony, but later I got nothing. His complaint filed by Bharat Shah in 2012 is still going on. The case is getting delayed due to Covid and only dates are being given. If reports are to be believed, Border 2 is being directed by Anurag Singh and JP Dutta is its co-producer.
