Malaika Arora's father Anil Mehta told his daughters THIS before his death 

The sudden death of Malaika Arora’s father Anil Mehta has sent shockwaves in the industry with the film fraternity offering condolences and support to the family. He died under mysterious circumstances on September 11 allegedly by suicide. While the police are investigating the case Malaika Arora has released the first statement after the demise. Bollywood model-dancer expressed deep shock and grief that has affected her family and requested some privacy. 

Malaika took to her social media handle to drop a statement while she is mourning the loss. She wrote, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect. With gratitude, Joyce, Malaika, Amrita, Shakeel, Arhaan, Azaan, Rayyan, Casper, Axl, Duffy & Buddy. Anil Kuldeep Mehta 22/02/1962 - 11/09/2024.”

Reportedly, Anil Mehta died jumping off from the balcony of his house on the sixth floor of the Ayesha Manor building in Bandra. According to reports, he had called his daughters Malaika and Amrita before the suicide and said “I’m tired”. When the incident took place around 9 am on September 11, Malaika’s mother and Anil Mehta’s wife Joyce Polycarp was present in the house. She informed police that she saw her husband’s slipper in the living room and when she didn’t find her anywhere in the house she moved to the balcony and noticed that people gathered in the compound. She leaned over the railing and learned that things were wrong and that her husband committed suicide.
