Bollywood is currently in a shocking state after Malaika Arora’s father Anil Mehta passed away on September 11, 2024. B’town celebs are mourning the loss offering condolences and support to the family of departed. Anil passed away in mysterious circumstances on Wednesday morning when only his wife was present at home. He committed suicide and the reason remains unknown however, the police investigation is underway. His daughter Malaika was in Pune when the incident occurred but she rushed back as soon as she heard the news.
His Last rites took place on September 12, 2024, at Santacruz Hindu crematorium. Malaika Arora’s ex-husband Arbaaz Khan and his family visited yesterday at their house from where Anil jumped off. Other celebs also reached their residence on the death day. Several Bollywood celebs made their presence on the funeral day to attend the last rites of Anil Mehta. Friends and family have reached the crematorium as emotional Malaika arrived with her mom who couldn’t control her tears.
Malaika and Amrita’s best friends Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor attended the funeral along with Saif Ali Khan. Arbaaz Khan came with his wife Sshura Khan while Malaika's ex-boyfriend Arjun Kapoor was also seen by her side. Arhaan was seen consoling his mother. Farha Khan, Sajid Khan, and Shibani Dandekar arrived to pay their last respects. Salim Khan, Sohail Khan, Alvira Khan, and Atul Agnihotri arrived yesterday to support the family.
According to reports, Anil Mehta passed away by jumping off from the balcony of his house on the sixth floor of the Ayesha Manor building in Bandra. Allegedly he called his daughters before the incident and said “I’m Tired.” As per News18 reports, the post mortem report states that he passed away due to multiple injuries.
