Sonakshi Sinha talks modern marriage: No pressure on women to cook anymore, embraces first cooking experience

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are a popular couple nowadays, who are often seen expressing their love for each other on social media. Apart from this, they also remain a topic of discussion in the media regularly. They tied the knot on June 23 this year and now the actress has shared her thoughts about life after marriage. Recently, she said that nowadays there is no pressure on women to cook after marriage, as society has started understanding that women have professional responsibilities along with personal life.

The actress said this during a promotional event of a digital travel company on Thursday. She said, "In today's time, there is no pressure on women to cook, because everyone understands that both women's personal and professional life are important. This is a pleasant change and I consider myself lucky that there is no pressure on me to cook. If I want to cook, it will be my own wish and not due to any pressure." Sonakshi Sinha was accompanied by her husband Zaheer Iqbal at the promotional event. Sonakshi made sattu ka parathas while Zaheer prepared avocado sushi. Sonakshi revealed that this is the first time she has tried cooking herself. She said, "This is the first time I have really tried cooking something, that too in front of so many people. I was under a lot of pressure, but I think I did well. I enjoyed it and would like to learn the art of cooking in the future as well."

Sonakshi also talked about her favourite food items. She said, "Indian food is my favourite. I associate my childhood memories with food. When I was young, we used to visit grandma in Patna on every holiday. She used to feed us wonderful Bihari food like litti chokha, sattu ka parathas. I still crave those dishes." Sonakshi also revealed that her favourite holiday destination is Goa while Zaheer loves to visit Kerala.
