Jr. NTR has collaborated with Janhvi Kapoor for the first time for their upcoming movie Devara Part 1. The action thriller directed by Koratala Siva also stars Saif Ali Khan in the lead role. The film slated to release on September 27 promises a powerful action entertainer captivating the audience. Jr. NTR has stated that his co-star Janhvi Kapoor resembles her mother Sridevi. 

Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently hosted a panel discussion with Jr. NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan who spoke highly about each other. During the discussion, the RRR actor stated Janhvi Kapoor reminded him of her late mother Sridevi. According to him, the Ulajh actor embodies her legendary mother. 

Jr NTR said, “I remember, there was this photoshoot where we did a look test of sorts. There was this picture of hers where she was sitting on the boat and looking at the camera. She looked so much like Sridevi garu. In certain angles, she definitely looks like her. But, it is in the way she performs, and the way she smiles. It brings the reminiscence of Sridevi garu.”

Devara Part 1 is Janhvi Kapoor’s first Telugu movie but she felt at home working on Devara. Talking about it she said “I don’t know how to explain it, but I feel that more when I perform and speak in Telugu. It felt like home to me.”

For the unversed, Sridevi has delivered some successful movies in Telugu cinema. She was a well-known name in Hindi and South cinema. It is interesting to note that she shared iconic chemistry with Jr. NTR grandfather NT Rama Rao. And now after years Jr. NTR and Sridevi’s eldest daughter Janhvi Kapoor have come together professionally for the first time to star in Devara Part 1.
