In a recent chat with India TV actor Vivek Oberoi opened up about his past romances and the reasons behind his hesitancy to embrace serious commitments before tying the knot with Priyanka Alva. He shared that during his younger years, he purposefully avoided getting too emotionally attached due to worries about the possibility of heartbreak.
Vivek shared that his choice was influenced by the heartbreaking passing of his first love due to cancer leaving him with a protective wall around his emotions. “I’ve had very few serious girlfriends. When I was in college, I was already studying, managing business, and investing in the stock market. I didn’t have time for a committed relationship,” Vivek shared. He continued, “After my childhood sweetheart passed away from cancer, I didn’t want to go through more heartbreak, so I decided only casual relationships would work for me.”
The actor stressed that even though he held his position he was consistently truthful and open in his connections. “When I’ve loved, I’ve loved with all my heart. I’ve never cheated on anyone. I’ve always been transparent and true to myself,” Vivek added.
