The announcement of Race 4 created waves leaving fans excited and what led to anticipation reaching high is the return of Saif Ali Khan to the franchise. The entire cast of the fourth installment is not unveiled yet but Saif will be reportedly joined by Siddharth Malhotra. While the OG fans have been eying for major updates around the new chapter in the neo-noir action crime film series major details about filming dates and plots have been unveiled. 

Saif headlined 1st two chapters but was substituted by Salman Khan in Race 3 which turned out to be a disaster at the box office. Now Race 4 is on the cards and it is also penned by Shiraz Ahmed who wrote the first three installments of the franchise. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shiraz Ahmed spilled beans about shoot details, cast, and plot. He even confirmed Siddharth Malhotra’s role in the film.

He said, “Race 4 will go on floors in January (2025). The script is almost completed and so is the casting. Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra’s casting is already out in the media. The rest of the cast will be revealed by the producers Tips Films at the right time in a proper announcement. For Race 4, we have continued the story and characters from Race 1 and 2. We have gone back to the same world of the first two films.”

Ahmed further addressed Race 3 failure at the box office. He said, “In Race 3, we shifted a bit from the Race franchise in terms of characters. If you remove the title ‘Race’ from the film, you will enjoy it. People went to see Race, but they got to see something else. We had Salman Khan in the film. So, you need to keep certain things in mind. He doesn’t play negative roles. Mainly, his fans would never like to see him in a negative role. So certain boundaries came about. Still, we tried to do whatever we could.” 

Race 4 starring Saif Ali Khan and Siddharth Malhotra is in the making. Director of the fourth chapter is not finalized yet while it will be produced by Ramesh S. Taurani and Kumar S. Taurani under the banner of Tips Industries.
