Director Karan Johar took a stroll through the past and thrilled his followers with a sentimental Instagram update featuring a throwback clip of Shah Rukh Khan reminiscing about his costumes in the beloved movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai from 1998. This nostalgic post was shared in the hours of September 21 along with a touching message from KJo praising SRKs ability to rock his snug and vividly coloured ensembles in the film despite feeling a bit uneasy at first.
KKHH featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji is considered a classic romantic comedy even though its storyline feels a bit old fashioned. People still fondly remember the movies catchy songs, memorable lines and unique fashion choices especially SRKs character Rahul Khanna rocking snug tees and jeans back in his college days. In a recent video Shah Rukh openly shared how he felt embarrassed about the revealing outfits he had to wear during the film’s opening scenes.
“The most embarrassing moment is the costumes that I have to wear when I am playing the young guy. I feel that my jeans and T-shirt are too tight, and I am supposed to play the college stud,” Shah Rukh expresses in the clip how uneasy he felt playing the younger version of Rahul. He jokingly remarks, “I have to say, walk, and talk, and do certain things which I am embarrassed to...”
Karan Johar in his note commended Shah Rukh for effortlessly pulling off those fitted outfits. He referred to it as "main fashion core energy." " He also shared a humorous story from the filming process where he accidentally referred to a basketball as a "goal" until SRK kindly corrected him with a whisper saying, “It’s a basket.”
