Recently, Karan Johar shared a post on social media that hinted at the idea of privilege in relation to the excitement surrounding Coldplay concert tickets in India. The buzz started when tickets for the bands upcoming tour were released and sold out within moments. Fans took to social media to share their responses with some rejoicing over their successful ticket purchases while others voiced their discontent.
Karan posted a thoughtful message on his Instagram Stories on September 23, alluding to the recent frenzy over Coldplay tickets. He expressed, “Dear privilege, I love that Coldplay and the mini Kelly always keep you grounded... you can't get everything you want, my darling… Lots of love… Frugal.”
This enigmatic note led to speculation about whether the director was unable to obtain a pass which in turn prompted his reflective message.
Coldplay is gearing up for a concert at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19 and 21 in 2025 during their "Music of the Spheres" tour. This news has sparked excitement among their fans.
In the meantime, Karan Johar is working on various projects. His upcoming film Jigra is slated to hit theatres on October 11 coinciding with Dussehra. The teaser trailer has already created quite a stir, before its release. Co-produced with Alia Bhatt this action thriller directed by Vasan Bala shows the relationship between siblings portrayed by Alia and Vedang Raina.
Besides his work, Karan is set to make his first appearance on an OTT platform through a high-profile web series for Netflix. Sources told that the casting process is underway and this series is expected to be one of Netflix’s most ambitious projects. Filming is scheduled to happen over the course of 2025 with a release slated for 2026.
Karan is hard at work getting ready for his next film, which is supposed to be an action-packed film due to the success of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
