Jackky Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani accuse Bade Miyan Chote Miyan director Ali Abbas Zafar of siphoning funds

Jackky Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment have accused the director Ali Abbas Zafar of siphoning funds issued from Abu Dhabhi authorities during the Bade Miyan Chote Miyan shoot. As per reports the complaint was filed on September 3 and soon he will be summoned by the Bandra police. The complaint by the producers accuses Ali of “coercion, criminal breach of trust, extortion, blackmailing, criminal intimidation, harassment, criminal defamation and money laundering.” It also states that the director BMCM starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, used these funds via a shell company in Abu Dhabi.

The complaint claims that Zaffar and his associates mismanaged the film’s production and faked their abilities which led to financial loss. They are charged with boosting budgets, receiving kickbacks, and fabricating invoices. Additionally, Bhagnani claims that despite assurances, the accused mishandled contracts, failed to provide proper financial records, and demanded unapproved payments.

Earlier, Ali Abbas Zafar filed a complaint against Bhagnanis for not paying him his fees 7.30 crores for directing Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. According to Dainik Bhaskar's reports, he filed a complaint with the Directors’ Association asking them to intervene. Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) then sent a letter to Vashu Bhagnani to provide an explanation for unpaid dues.

However, Pooja Entertainment declined Zafar’s claims and issued a statement which stated, “The dues claimed do not constitute a legitimate claim and are liable to various set-offs, as informed to us by BMCM Films Ltd.” Later, FWICE also asked Ali Abbas Zafar to submit proof of his unpaid dues claim.

Pooja Entertainment is facing trouble over the debacle of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Earlier, in June, crew members blamed the production house for not clearing their dues on time. Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) president BN Tiwari asserted that Vashu Bhagnani owes over 65 lakh to crew members who worked on three of his films-Mission Raniganj, Ganapath and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
