With the release of Devara: Part 1 just around the corner on September 27, Jr NTR recently had a chat with his RRR co-star and close friend Alia Bhatt. The interview titled Devara Ka Jigra was packed with moments and insightful revelations. As both Jr NTR and Alia gear up for their film releases, they took a trip down memory lane sharing stories about their friendship and how it has evolved over time.
While talking Jr NTR shared how much he respects Alia saying she’s been a real friend to him in Mumbai from the very beginning. Jr NTR said with a smile, “I can’t imagine any other friend in Bombay other than Alia… and of course after she came Ranbir. So, it wasn’t Ranbir and me who were friends, but it was me and Alia; after her, he followed.”
During the discussion hosted by Karan Johar the actors engaged in a light-hearted exchange about who came up with the title for their movie first Devara or Jigra. Jr NTR found it amusing how closely the two film names resembled each other when spoken adding an interesting twist to their soon to be released films.
Alia Bhatt is all set to star in Jigra an action-packed thriller helmed by Vasan Bala and co penned by Debashish Irengbam. The film tells the story of Satya a young woman who faces challenges when her brother her only remaining family member is imprisoned and tortured in a foreign jail. With no other options available Satya takes matters into her own hands embarking on a mission to rescue him. Jigra is scheduled for release on October 11 and boasts an impressive cast including Vedang Raina Aditya Nanda Manoj Pahwa and Rahul Ravindran in pivotal roles.
In the meantime, Jr NTR's Devara Part directed by Koratala Siva is an action-packed film that delves into themes of brotherhood betrayal and fear set against the backdrop of a coastal community. With Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan playing roles the movie is set to deliver action and captivating drama. Fans are eagerly anticipating Devara Part 1 which is set to debut just weeks before Jigra heightening the excitement surrounding major releases for both stars.
With the consecutive launches of Devara: Part 1 and Jigra movie enthusiasts can look forward to an exhilarating autumn season as two major Bollywood stars take the lead in delivering captivating cinematic adventures.
