Jr. NTR and Alia Bhatt share a strong bond as friends and co-stars of SS Rajamouli’s RRR. Alia who welcomed a girl Raha Kapoor with her husband Ranbir Kapoor recalled they discussed baby names at Jr. NTR’s home post Brahmastra promotions in Hyderabad. Interestingly the Devara star was praying for Raha should be the final name and eventually his wish was fulfilled.
Ahead of their respective film releases Devara and Jigra Jr, NTR and Alia Bhatt got into a candid conversation with Dharma Productions Karaan Johar. They emphasized on their personal equation and how both are important in their life. Alia revealed that she and Ranbiir Kapoor discussed names for their then-to-be-born baby with everyone for the very first at NTR’s home.
Talking about it Alia Bhatt recalled an anecdote, “This love started with Taarak very graciously coming to the Brahmastra press meet in Hyderabad. I remember I was fully pregnant at that time. He said, ‘Ya ya, we do the event, then after that, you all have to come to my house for dinner.’ And we had such a warm evening on that terrace, chatting. That was the first time we actually discussed possible baby names in front of everyone else. Ranbir said, ‘If it’s a girl, it'll be this. If it's a boy, it'll be this.'” Jr NTR added, “I started praying, I wish it was Raha. And finally, there she is.”
On the work front, Alia Bhatt is gearing up for her upcoming action thriller film Jigra. She will be sporting an intense role that she has never tried before. The film also stars Vedang Raina in a sibling bond emotional yet gripping sstory. The film is produced by the actress herself under her production company Eternal Sunshine Production in association with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Jigra is scheduled to open in cinemas on October 11.
On the other hand, Jr. NTR is also looking forward to the release of his upcoming movie Devara Part 1. The action thriller directed by Koratala Siva also stars Bollywood actors Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The film jointly produced by Yuvasudha Arts and N. T. R. Arts is set to release in theaters on September 27.
