Farhan and Shibani Discuss their spiritual beliefs on Rhea's podcast: 'We believe in karma'

Actor and producer-director Farhan Akhtar along with his partner Shibani Dandekar recently joined Rhea Chakraborty's podcast show. During this, Shibani also shared her views on her religious beliefs. She said that her family believes in their actions. They believe more in doing better for others and becoming better themselves. She said that she and her family celebrate every festival.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani said that their family follows different religions. They have described it as a mix of religions, where they celebrate every festival together. Discussing his personal beliefs, Farhan told Rhea Chakraborty on her podcast Chapter 2, 'I do not believe that there is any supernatural power that is controlling everything. I believe that it is definitely something that connects us all. You can call it a spiritual feeling or consciousness of energy or collective connection ... I believe in it'.

Farhan further said, 'I don't think there is one thing that governs everything or that tells you what is right, what is wrong or when you will get punishment and rewards for living a good life. But, I believe in karma and there is nothing beyond that'.

On the other hand, Shibani Dandekar said, 'I agree with Farhan. I think religion can be beautiful when it brings people together, but it can be dangerous when it divides people and this has always been a big question for me. I think it is about being there for each other, it should be something that is a force that unites people, not a force that divides'. Shibani further said, 'I am not religious... Helping others is religion for me. In our family, we celebrate Eid, Christmas and Diwali too. There is a lot of love and unity in the family because of this'.
