Feroz Khan's Birthday: Celebrating the icon whose hit film required a team to count the cash!

Born on 25 September 1939 in Bangalore, Feroz Khan, whose real name was Zulfiqar Ali Shah Khan, is considered one of the most stylish and charming actors of the Indian film industry. His career was remarkable not only in acting but also in filmmaking and direction. Today, on his birth anniversary, let us tell you some important aspects of his life and his beloved work.

Feroz Khan started his career in 1956 with the film 'Hum Sab Chor Hain', in which he played a small role. He then worked as a second lead in films like 'Zamana', 'Bade Sarkar' and 'Didi'. But his first hit film was 'Oonche Log', which gave him a lasting identity. In the 1970s and 80s, Feroz Khan played the lead role in many successful films. Films like 'Aarzoo', 'Safar', 'Dharamatma', 'Qurbani' and 'Nagin' are among the main achievements of his career. Especially 'Qurbani' created history at the box office. This film made a record of housefull shows for three months and Firoz even appointed a team to count the notes when it was successful.

Recently, Firoz Khan's son Fardeen Khan, on the completion of 42 years of 'Qurbani', recalled the struggle of his father Firoz Khan and said that he had put all his wealth at stake to make the film, and the film not only became a hit, but also created history for its music and box office earnings, due to which Firoz Khan had to form a team to count the notes.

Another interesting anecdote is that when Prakash Mehra offered him 'Hera Pheri' in 1976, he turned it down because the film was to be shot on a Sunday. This is a proof of how firm Firoz was about his principles.

Feroz Khan died on 27 April 2009 of lung cancer. With his departure, Indian cinema lost a unique talent. However, the memories of his films and acting will always remain alive in our hearts. Today, on Feroz Khan's birth anniversary his son Fardeen Khan took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute, reflecting on the enduring legacy of the Bollywood icon. Fardeen marked 15 years since his father’s passing, expressing how deeply Feroz's presence is felt within the family, particularly among his grandchildren.
