Dev Anand's inspiration to become an actor was another great actor Ashok Kumar. He was inspired by his performance in films like Achhut Kanya and Kismat. In a career spanning 65 years, Anand did 114 Bollywood films, of which 104 featured Anand as the lead hero. He died in 2011 at the age of 88.
