Aamir Khan gears up for next big project with Rajkumar Santoshi: Comic Caper 'Char Din Ki Zindagi' in the works

Aamir Khan is currently busier than he has ever been balancing various projects as he finalizes the edits of Sitare Zameen Par alongside director RS Prasanna and supervises the post production of his eagerly awaited historical drama Lahore: 1947. But that’s just the beginning – the Bollywood icon is already plotting his next venture and fans are eagerly anticipating what comes next.

Earlier this year Pinkvilla reported that Aamir had inked a deal with director Rajkumar Santoshi for two films. The first one titled Lahore: 1947 stars Sunny Deol in the role and is scheduled to be released in theatres in early 2025. Now exclusive sources have disclosed that Aamir and Santoshi are preparing for their collaboration and this time it holds the potential to be a completely unique experience.

Three decades after the iconic film Andaz Apna Apna, Aamir Khan is said to be in talks for a reunion with director Rajkumar Santoshi for a full-on comedy this time around. The upcoming project tentatively named Char Din Ki Zindagi is set in a quirky time loop setting. An insider involved in the development revealed that both Aamir and Santoshi are thrilled about the venture which aims to offer a fresh and humorous twist on the comedy genre.

“Aamir and Rajkumar Santoshi have been in talks for a while now, and the subject that’s really grabbed their attention is an out-and-out comic caper with a time-loop element. The working title, Char Din Ki Zindagi, perfectly matches the fun, high-energy concept,” the source shared.

Aamir is said to be exploring various projects at the moment. These include a movie with Zoya Akhtar another with Dinesh Vijan to be helmed by Avinash Arun and two Pan India partnerships with renowned South filmmakers. However, sources reveal that Santoshi's film is leading the pack as the top contender. That being said given Aamir's tendency to deliberate before making choices nothing is confirmed at this stage.

“Aamir will decide his next move once the edits for Sitare Zameen Par and Lahore: 1947 are locked, but Santoshi is optimistic about their comic collaboration and is already working with a fresh team of writers. He believes that a comedy with Aamir Khan in the lead will offer a refreshing change for audiences,” the source added.

At the moment Aamir is dedicated to wrapping up work on Sitare Zameen Par and Lahore: 1947, both set to hit the screens in the coming six months. His supporters are eagerly anticipating details about his upcoming venture and Char Din Ki Zindagi is looking like an intriguing option. Stay tuned for announcements as Aamir's next step is a hot topic, in Bollywood!
