Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa have become one of the most adored couples in Bollywood. However, the CityLights actress recently shared that their first encounter didn’t exactly spark love at first sight for her. During an interview with Humans of Bombay Patralekhaa candidly spoke about her initial impression of Rajkummar after seeing his debut film Love Sex Aur Dhokha (LSD) revealing that she found him to be quite “creepy.”

The couple wed in 2021 after being in a relationship for quite some time and they frequently showcase their relationship milestones on social media. However, their love story began in an unusual way. Patralekhaa reminisced about watching LSD and feeling unsettled by Rajkummar's intense performance in the movie. Shortly after that she got a call from a friend studying at FTII who invited her to film a music video with Rajkummar.

“I told my friend, ‘No, I am not coming because I think he’s very, very creepy, and I’m scared,’” Patralekhaa revealed her fears about the shoot and even brought her sister with her for support. “I made her sit between me and Rajkummar, and while they started chit-chatting, I was feeling all weird because he’s that creepy guy from the movie,” She chuckled as she shared the story even admitting that she gave her sister a little pinch to get her to stop chatting with him.

Even though their first interaction was a bit uncomfortable everything changed when they actually started talking. Patralekhaa remembered mentioning an ad she had appeared in to Rajkummar and his response caught her off guard. “The moment I said that, I saw there was some shift. As the story goes, he had seen that particular ad and thought, ‘I want to marry this girl,’” she revealed.

It didn't take long for Patralekhaa to witness a side of Rajkummar. While collaborating on the music video she was deeply impressed by his commitment and enthusiasm for his art. She admitted that she found it hard to resist developing feelings for him which marked the start of their lovely journey as a couple.

In her recent project, Patralekhaa portrayed an air hostess in the Netflix series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is enjoying the success of Stree 2. He is now preparing for his upcoming film, a comedy titled Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, alongside Triptii Dimri, which is scheduled to hit theatres on October 11, 2024.
