Kiran Rao's directorial venture 'Laapataa Ladies' has been selected for Oscar 2025. Every character, song and acting of every actor in this film is praiseworthy. Ravi Kishan plays a policeman in this film and plays an important role in finding the 'Laapataa Ladies'. His character is shown very interestingly, who sits in the police station and chews paan all day. Now when the film was sent for Oscar, Ravi Kishan expressed his happiness and also narrated a funny anecdote related to his character.
He said that to fit completely into that character, he ate a total of 160 paans. According to the news published in Rediff.com, Ravi Kishan said in the interview, "I ate 160 paans during the shooting, thankfully I did not get used to it. Kiran ji wanted my character to keep chewing something, she suggested samosa, I said why not eat paan?" He was asked whether he really ate so many paans? In response to this, Ravi Kishan said, "Yes, of course, I had to face it. After all, this was my first Pan India film." Saying this, he started laughing.
Ravi Kishan got a lot of praise for his role in this film. Talking about this, he said, "This is luck, God has been kind, in my 33-year career, I have never seen so much praise for any performance. It scares, it makes you laugh, it also makes you cry. I really liked my introduction scene, in which I am sitting in the police station and listening to a woman singing Thumri. The audience gets excited at that very scene, 'Gana sanaane par paise kam, wow!'"
Along with the film, Ravi Kishan also praised its director Kiran Rao. He said that she is a wonderful person. She is very clear about what she wants from an actor and yet, she gave me complete freedom to do my character in my own way." Along with this, he said in his praise, "My eyes and body language enhance my character."
