On Thursday the much-awaited teaser for Jigra featuring Alia Bhatt was released and it provides an unfiltered sneak peek into a sibling relationship that challenges conventional storytelling. Directed by Vasan Bala Jigra unfolds a compelling plot with Alia portraying Satya taking on the role of the guardian and subverting the typical brother sister dynamic.

In contrast to the typical portrayal of brothers being the heroes in movies, Jigra puts the spotlight on the sister, Satya. She takes the lead in the battle to rescue her brother Ankur, played by Vedang Raina. Satya’s unwavering resolve shines through in the trailer particularly during moments where she considers actions like cutting her wrist, to create a family medical crisis and facilitate her brother’s freedom from jail abroad.
